Handmade Native American Turquoise Jewelry from the three Southwest Indian Pueblos and the Navajo Nation. All the jewelry on this site is guaranteed to be authentic. The Indians of the Southwest United States have been making jewelry since ancient times. Bead work is the oldest of these traditions and is a specialty of the Kewa (Santo Domingo) Pueblo Indians north of Albuquerque on the Rio Grande River. The Hopi specialized in silver overlay designs and of course pottery and katsinas. They live in Northern Arizona. The Zuni have always been experts in delicate inlay work with turquoise, various other stones and shell on silver and live south of Gallup, NM. The Navajo are a nation unto themselves, living in a large area from central to northern New Mexico and Arizona. They do beautiful silver smithing, rugs and some pottery.
